One that worked smoothly when things got busy, when accidents happened, or when we were tired and needed to act fast.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Here\u2019s\u00a0what helped \u2014 nothing complicated, nothing expensive. Just practical choices that made life a bit easier.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Start with One Dedicated Spot<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Clear out the bottom shelf of\u00a0a closet.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0it. Nothing fancy \u2014 just enough space to keep things within reach. Especially if the person using the diaper has mobility issues, the last thing you want is to stretch or bend.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The bottom shelf works because it is eye-level when sitting, easy to pull things from, and\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0require opening drawers or lifting anything.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ditch the Plastic Packaging<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Those packs that diapers come in? Useless once\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0half-empty. They\u00a0sag, slide off shelves, and look messy. Start using open storage bins instead \u2014 one for daytime diapers, another for nighttime ones. No lids. No zippers. Just quick grab-and-go access.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Label them! I know it sounds basic, but in the middle of the night, you\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0want to guess which\u00a0one\u2019s\u00a0which. Simple.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Keep Spare Clothes Nearby<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This is a big one. We rolled up a few soft\u00a0pyjamas, T-shirts, and undergarments and kept them right next to the diapers. Accidents\u00a0happen, and\u00a0digging through drawers when\u00a0someone\u2019s\u00a0uncomfortable\u00a0isn\u2019t\u00a0fun.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Just roll and stack a few easy-change outfits. That way,\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0always ready.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Build a \u201cGo Bag\u201d for Outings<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Make a small emergency pouch: one diaper, a small wipe pack, plastic bag, and a towel \u2014 all zipped up and stored in the closet. Grab it when you head out for a hospital visit or long trip. This will help you so well you will\u00a0realise\u00a0things are becoming easy.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0like an insurance policy for caregivers.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Always Keep a Backup Pack<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Imagine running out of diapers at night. Never again. Now, you shall keep one full, unopened pack hidden behind the open ones.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0just a backup, but it gives peace of mind.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tackle the Smell Gently<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Even fresh diapers have a scent. We dropped a lavender sachet in the corner of the shelf. Just use a\u00a0small\u00a0open bowl of baking soda.
